It has been a war of words between the Federal Government and ENDSARS protesters/promoters on the incident of Lekki massacre. The FG has decried that nothing like massacred happened at Lekki while some alleged evidences were being circulated by protesters that it happened.
Today, Friday 4th December 2020, some people with physical injuries stormed the Lagos Court of Arbitration in Lekki, which is the hearing venue of the Lagos State Panel of Judicial Inquiry probing the alleged direct shooting of protesters by Nigerian Army on the night of October 20 at the Lekki tollgate as reported.
The alleged Lekki victims, who came to the LCA arrived in a white bus, with a straight face they said they are victims of the alleged Lekki tollgate shootings armies.
They came with an accompanied by a group carrying banner which states ‘New Nigeria Network.’
The spokesperson for the group, a lady, said, “We have people with amputated legs; we have people with brain surgery in this van; we have dozens of them that are yet to be discharged. This is from Lekki tollgate massacre 2020. We want justice. We don’t want to be silenced; we don’t want to be marginalised even in our own country.”
However, if we could remember, the Nigerian Army has consistently refused to admit there was a shooting at or killing protesters at the Lekki tollgate.
